the author was born in a poor family on 15-2-1951 at a remote village in Azhikode South , Dist. Kannoor, Kerala State, India. From the year 1956 to 1961 I had studied in the primary school in Malayalam Medium at Azhikode. From 1962 to 1966 I completed my secondary education from Azhikode Higher Secondary School, in Malayalam Medium. My childhood was spent in sheer poverty and I have to depend upon my relatives for support of my living and also for my studies. My father was a handloom weaver at that time. We are four brothers and three sisters. Out of that one sister expired. During my childhood, I used to sell groundnut, crackers and cashew nuts for my pocket money.
